The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers reveals Britain's most respected and sought-after graduate employers.
It is produced annually by High Fliers Research and the latest edition is based on research with 16,357 final year students who left UK universities in the summer of 2009. Each finalist was asked the open-ended question – 'Which employer do you think offers the best opportunities for graduates?' – and the responses analysed to compile this year’s league table.
The results show that for the sixth year running PricewaterhouseCoopers – the accounting and professional services firm – has been voted the UK’s leading graduate employer. Retailer Aldi has jumped five places, joining the top three for the first time – it is just seven years since the company first appeared in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers as a new entry in 65th place and it has risen in the rankings each year since.
The highest climbers in 2009 are led by Cadbury which has leapt an impressive forty-eight places to 47th, MI5 - The Security Service which moves up thirty-three places to 60th place, and Atkins which jumps thirty-two places to 37th in the Top 100.
There are thirteen new entries in this year's Top 100, the highest being BDO Stoy Hayward, the accounting and professional services firm. Nuclear Graduates – an innovative new scheme launched by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority to recruit graduates to work in more than twenty employers across the UK's nuclear industry – appears in 72nd place.

The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers is published as a full-colour hard-backed book and provides an invaluable guide to the UK's leading graduate employers ¬including details of starting salaries, application deadlines and their latest recruitment targets.
