by Mike Barnard How e-hirable are you? Take the test!

Our short survey asks what you’ve done online to look for work, and gives you a score between 0 and 100 for your personal e-hireability. Are you an e-virgin, an e-vangelist or e-master? The survey will reveal all and help you improve your rating.

How e-hireable are you? is aimed to help you understand how to use the internet to find a job and employers improve the way they communicate with graduates. It also aims to reveal which graduates are best at using the Internet: are IT graduates more e-hireable or does a marketing degree help you use the Internet more effectively?

The survey is operated by Enhance Media Limited – specialists in online recruitment strategy and multi-award winners for online recruitment research - so you can be sure it adheres to market research guidelines and that your data is safe and confidential.

Learn how e-hireable you are: take the test, see the results or read more in our FAQs.

I think the proof is in the pudding where the owner writes that the 3 graduate's he hired this year all got under 50 and he hired them! I've come across this before a load of facts and figures designed to baffle and confuse. Social Media and recruitment will only work for so long and with people getting turned off from twitter and fb it won't be long before it has had it's day!

Chris,You didn't do the survey correctly. Sure, it has flaws but you're supposed to look at each question and use it to stimulate thought. If you're asked whether you use a particular method to find a job and you don't, then that should provide some insight in its own right. But yes, it's not perfect, but it's the first study of its kind and is a step in the right direction I hope.

Ok, thanks Times for this... this is a load of rubbish, it's just trying to do market research - there is nothing except for selecting Uni and Course that woul tell me how employable I was. Waste of time.

THE DEVELOPER OF "HOW E HIREABLE" posted:
Good morning. We built the survey and always respond to any negative comments. Firstly the survey isn't actually owned by this website. It's owned by us, an independent online recruitment research company. GradCareers is brave putting this project online - some careers sites don't do this type of thing because they don't want to tell graduates (the obvious) that one size doesn't fit all. When this research works it's a win for everyone. Employers use the data to help them reach graduates online, Graduate Careers does something unique and helpful for graduates, we look smart as a research company and graduates get some insight into whether they are 'e-hireable' or not. And if it's any help the three graduate I hired this year scored under 60 and still got their jobs !Giles Guest. Director. Enhance Media.

To be honest, it's a load of rubbish! It's a clever way for this website to do a bit of market research and advertising and telling us if we have a low score, we should look a bit more...The people with the highest scores are the ones that are finding it hardest to get jobs as they've looked the most! The people with the lowest score on the statistics are medics... I think that says it all...
