Both programmes are designed to accelerate your career to a management role, combining on the job experience, responsibility from day one, support with part time academic and professional qualifications and a structured interpersonal skills programme. All of this is designed to develop your technical and business skills and enable you to build and maintain a wide network of peers and senior leaders in the early stages of your career. There is simply something for everyone.
When are your intakes?
Wates recruit onto the Insight Programme all year round. Please check our website for current vacancies in specific geographical areas.

Describe your company
As one of the UK's largest privately owned construction companies, we have some 2,000 employees and in 2008 our turnover exceeded £1 billion for the first time. We are delighted that Wates has been listed in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for 2010 and our leadership position in the industry was acknowledged when we were awarded Building Magazine's Major Contractor of the Year award in 2009 and 2010.
Our core construction services businesses: Construction, Living Space, Interiors and Retail are focused on specific markets working with high profile customers. Our vision is to be the first UK contractor to deliver for customers safely, on time, on budget, every time.
Given the dynamic nature of our work we have the opportunity to make a real difference to improve local communities and protect the environment. Operating from Scotland down to the Channel Islands, our teams work with customers ranging from Government departments through to the most famous high street names. Every day we are creating the schools, offices, retail experiences and affordable housing that will shape the future of the UK's landscape.
